John Purchase Public School is located in Cherrybrook, NSW.
The Parents and Citizens association is proud of our school and its role in educating, mentoring and growing our children. The P&C supports the school by:
- Promoting the interests of the school by bringing parents, citizens, students and teaching staff into close co-operation; and
- Assisting in providing facilities and equipment for the school and in promoting the recreation and welfare of the students at the school.
The John Purchase Public School P&C Association is a Not For Profit organisation, and is registered with the NSW Parents & Citizens Federation and the Australian Charity and Not For Profit Commission.
What do we do?
The P&C runs a number of activities around the school, including:
- Our Band Program
- The Canteen
- The Uniform Shop
- Fundraising Events and Activities
Membership is open to any individual who is involved in the life of the school. P&C meetings are usually held on the second Monday of each month at 7pm. The executive meets monthly, usually in the week prior to the general meeting.
Where do the funds we raise go?
In 2020 we have provided over $160 000 support to the school community, including supporting the teaching program, replacing air conditioners and data projectors, and refurbishing the school canteen.
We’re incredibly thankful to the generous support of our local community that has made this possible.
How can I be involved?
If you’d like to be involved, please fill out out volunteer sign up form or attend one of our P&C Meetings.
